I can't say if they have any in the stores because it wasn't necessary to look. You can get a prepaid SIM card from the local cellphone carriers. I normally use Claro. That gives you a local number and data. Once you have that, I’d reach out to your bank or card issuer so that they know that you are in Costa Rica.
